Peas and Hominy formed in central Texas sometime in 2008, or maybe it was 2007 or even 2006…
Bobby Scheffel and Ross Rainey worked together, and decided to start a band. They found a bass player and formed the Loco Yokels…a great band name, but d’oh! Another band already had that name. So the LYs became Peas and Hominy. After a while the bass player moved on, and P&H were a sad ’n’ lonely twosome, until Ross asked his cousin, accordionista Catherine Avril Morris, to do some backup vocals and accordion stylings on his CD, Cedar Fever… Soon Catherine was drawn into the band’s evil orbit… And we’ve been rocking your world ever since.
